fondazione Pergolesi spontini

The Pergolesi Spontini Foundation, established in Jesi in 2000, aims to amplify and celebrate the two Marche composers Giovanni Battista Pergolesi and Gaspare Spontini by promoting performances, musicological research, and the preparation of musical editions of their works. They also aim to promote cultural activities and tourism and to support the training and development of the next generation of musical artists. Since 2001, the Foundation has annually organized the Pergolesi Spontini Festival.

We are thrilled to announce that in 2024, FIO ITALIA will collaborate with the Pergolesi Spontini Foundation for our production of Il filosofo di campagna by Baldassare Galuppi. Furthermore, all artists who are selected to perform in this opera will also be considered for the Foundation’s year-long Young Artist Program.

Centro Studi Italiani

Cento Studi Italiani is an Italian language and culture school for international students. CSI offers all levels of language courses, opera and dance programs, arts & crafts courses (cookery, art, ceramics, etc.) and cultural tours of Italy.

CSI is our FIO ITALIA participants’ headquarters and home away from home while in Urbania. In their beautiful space, we have our daily intensive Italian classes, most of our coachings and voice lessons, quite a few opera rehearsals, and many of our recitals and masterclasses. Italian classes and coachings are taught by native Italians. CSI treats us like family and goes above and beyond to ensure that our time in Urbania is truly magical!
